MY weekend

Well, I just got done reading Jill and Jen's weblogs and they seem to think people are interested in their boring weekends, so I thought I would tell everyone about mine.

I, too, did nothing. Friday night started off by Jen calling me via Skype and telling me that I was a loser because it was Friday night and I was sitting at home. It is always a joy to talk to her.

Saturday was actually a beautiful day here. Denis and I took advantage of the fact that the sun came out for more than 20 minutes and we decided to take a drive. On the way to Hemeln, we hit some traffic and soon found out that there was a bike race going on- and we were going to have to sit in traffic until it was over. This could take another hour. I was shocked. There are no detours!? They just assume people have nowhere to go?! No people to see?! While I was asking Denis this and demanding acceptable answers, a nice lady came up to us and started speaking English with no German accent. I was impressed. Apparently she studied for a year in Utah during highschool. Her son, who looked about 8 years old, apparently is obsessed with Houston! That's right- Houston! Well, more like NASA, having recently seen Apollo 13. But he said that anything from Houston is cool. So that means I'm cool.

The day was really great, not only because an 8 year old thinks I'm cool, but also because we bought a BBQ grill! Denis unfortunately had to work for a few hours in the evening so we didn't start our BBQ until 11pm. But it's probaby better that way since we're not really allowed to have a BBQ grill on our balcony anyway.

So now it's Sunday. If you guys are still with me, I'm impressed. Sunday, so far, has been a little less eventful than Saturday. Got up late, had some cereal, cleaned the apartment, sat on the balcony, went to the gym. However, there are still 5 hours left in Sunday, so you never know what might still happen...

Please stop talking about your weekend. Just because others do, does not give you the right to inform the world about German traffic jams. Thank you and have a nice day.
PS Yes, he made me do it.

Why don't you do something productive, like applying for jobs. Such a worthless tool!

You are all just jealous that you're not from Houston. No 8 year old will ever think YOU'RE cool.
